When the garden is the teacher every child gets ground.ed
Every Australian child should have access to a garden where they can spend time connecting with nature and calming their nervous system.
Ground.Ed by Brooke is an associate member of Therapeutic Horticulture Australia
Children’s Garden Design
Ground.Ed by Brooke can help you plan and/or design a sensory garden scape for the children accessing your space.
Do you have a community grant or thinking about applying for one? We work with individuals, educational settings, local councils and community gardens to make unique natural learning, or therapeutic habitats for children of all abilities.
NDIS Support
Ground.Ed by Brooke provides assistance with improved daily living skills and social and community participation for children and young people living in Southern Tasmania.
Our supports are provided through a lens of therapeutic horticulture.
As a qualified Teacher, Brooke brings a sound understanding of child development and a holistic natural learning approach to support provision.
Programs and Events
Ground.Ed by Brooke can design programs to suit your intended learning outcomes, therapeutic needs, or even to allow unscripted garden exploration.
We are happy to work with you to plan one-off events or workshops.
Whether you are an individual, home-schooling parent, outdoor educator or community group, we have some gardening goodness to offer you and the children in your life.
Have you heard of Therapeutic Horticulture?
Therapeutic Horticulture is the practice of using gardening as a tool to enhance physical and emotional wellbeing. It has been proven to improve mood, enhance calm and focus and even assist with regulating sleep.
